Due to its location in the centre of continental Asia, Mongolia has a climate of extremes – hot summers and bitterly cold winters. Precipitation levels are notoriously low as the country is surrounded by high mountains and is far from seas and oceans, hence Mongolia is often referred to as the ‘Land of Blue Skies’ with an average of 250 days of sunshine per year. The most popular months to visit are between Spring and Autumn (May to October).
