Amankora Gangtey

Combining aman, the Sanskrit-derived word for ‘peace', and kora or ‘circular pilgrimage' in Bhutanese, Amankora, is a unique circuit of lodges set throughout the Kingdom of Bhutan's central and western valleys. The Amankora Gangtey is the smallest of the Aman lodges but has a wonderful view looking across at Gangtey Goemba and down the Phobjikha Valley. Suites combine a bedroom and lounge, and feature a king-size bed, a reading chair and a window banquette. A traditional bukhari is positioned between the bedroom and the bathroom. The spacious bathroom opens from the bedroom and provides twin vanities, separate shower and toilet, hanging space and a bath. The resort facilities include a lounge area with books games, and adjoining restaurant and a spa offering with myriad treatments. Mountain bicycles are available for local exploration or excursions can be arranged at the hotel.
