What passport and visa do I need to visit Thailand?

Passports
It is a requirement of the Thai Government that British visitors to Thailand possess a valid 10 year passport and that the passport has at least six months validity left after your return from holiday. Please check that your passport complies with this decree well in advance of travel. If you do not have a British passport please contact the Thai Embassy to see what regulations do apply.

Visas
British passport holders are not required to get a visa in advance, when visiting Thailand, unless they are hoping to stay for more than 30 days. For stays of 30 days or less tourists are permitted to get their visa on arrival. If you are going to be staying in Thailand for more than 30 days or you need further information please contact the Thai Embassy in London:
