What passport and visa do I need to visit Indonesia?

Passports
It is a requirement of the Indonesian Government that British visitors to Indonesia possess a valid 10 year passport and that the passport has at least six months validity left after your intended departure date from Indonesia. Please check that your passport complies with this decree well in advance of travel. If you do not have a British passport please contact the Indonesian Embassy to find out what regulations apply.

Visas
UK passport holders, along with 168 other nationalities, do not currently require a visa to enter the majority of Indonesia's main air and sea ports. For full details and up to date information on this visa-free scheme please visit the website of the Indonesian Embassy in London.

For stays of 30 days or more a tourist visas costs US$35 per person, which must be applied for in advance from the Indonesian Embassy in London. You will need to provide paperwork including a bank statement and a letter from your employer.
