Diphlu River Lodge

Operating since 2008, the Diphlu River Lodge is an intimate nature lodge and the most upmarket accommodation in the Kaziranga area. The lodge is located on the banks of the Diphlu River and on the edge of the Kaziranga National Park. It offers accommodation for 24 guests at a time, ensuring an exclusive and serene experience. There are a total of 12 spacious air-conditioned cottages, constructed of natural materials such as bamboo and wood, topped with thatched roofs to blend in with the forest surroundings. All bathrooms are en-suite with a roomy dressing area and a fitted wardrobe containing a safe. Each individual cottage has a wide folding glass door opening onto a verandah with inviting cane chairs. There is a raised platform area which houses a lounge, bar, and restaurant, and is also a fine spot for spotting birdlife. Guests are welcome to join two safaris per day, all of which are included in the cost of the stay. Other activities include short river cruises, hiking, and guided visits to villages and tea plantations.
