Elgin Silver Oaks

The Elgin Silver Oaks Kalimpong dates back to 1930. Originally the home of a famous Jute magnate, then later owned be a renowned architect, it has now been converted into an upmarket Himalayan retreat. The hotel buildings are surrounded by greenery, set in colourful landscaped gardens, dotted with small gazebos from where one can enjoy fine views accompanied by a refreshed cup of the local brew. Each room is well-appointed, tastefully-designed, and boasts views across the mountains and down to the Teesta river valley. Dining is taken in the Silver Room, which offers a selection of European and Asian menus.
