Mihirgarh is a magical 10-suite fort, which appears like a mirage in the heart of the desert. Completed in 2009, by the property is located around 1 hour south of Jodhpur off the Rohet road (the fort was constructed by the same family owners as Rohetgarh). Although Mihirgarh could be used as a base to explore Jodhpur, it is better considered as a destination in its own right. Horse-riding, village safaris, cycling, and jeep rides are all recommended activities; alternatively you may prefer to relax in the enormous suites - most of which have outside plunge pools or jacuzzis - or indulge in a spa treatment or massage. There is a lovely pool and bar area from which can one can enjoy sweeping views across the desert, accompanied by excellent food and drink.
