Denis Private Island is a small resort in the Indian Ocean surrounded by white sand beaches with 375 acres for guests to explore. As well as pristine beaches, the island is home to a sea turtle sanctuary and some of the rarest birds on earth. The resort’s 24 cottages & villas are spacious and comfortably designed for simple island life with lounge areas, big ‘open to the air’ bathrooms and private terraces. There is no in-room internet, and no satellite television, making the island a wonderful retreat from the digital world. Dining can take place in your cottage, in the main restaurant & bar area, or on the beach for special occasions. Whilst here your private island experiences can include spa treatments in your cottage, rising early to see sea turtles on the beach, spotting magpie robins & paradise flycatchers, getting to know the island on foot or by bike, or undertaking water-based activities such as swimming in the resort pool or snorkelling and kayaking in the island’s surrounding lagoon. Should you wish to venture further the PADI dive centre offers a range of different dive sites to choose from, as well as certification courses for beginners, and sport-fishing at the edge of a continental ocean drop-off is also a possibility.
