The Grand Tour of Kyrgyzstan (20 days)

This comprehensive tour will take you off-the-beaten-track and under the skin of this fascinating Central Asian country. From the capital city Bishkek, you will travel to the rugged and lesser-visited western region, where you will explore the incredible scenery of the Chychkan Gorge and the UNESCO-protected Sary-Chelek National Park. Journey south to the extensive ancient walnut forests of Arslanbob. The scenery then only becomes more dramatic as you begin to travel through the centre of the country. Stay at an authentic yurt camp on the shore of Son-Kul Lake, before continuing through Naryn and on to the impressively situated Silk Road-era Caravanserai at Tash Rabat. Travel north towards Kochkor, and then rejoin the classic tourist route around Lake Issyk-Kul, passing through Bokonbaev Village and the striking gorges and canyons around Karakol. Take a detour to the Kazakh border and stay the night in a luxurious yurt camp with a stunning remote location, before returning to Bishkek, traveling along the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, and passing Chon Kemin and the Burana Tower en route.
