The fifth and final of the Six Senses Lodges opened in Bhutan, the Six Senses Bumthang has been awarded the nickname ‘Forest within a Forest’. Rather than disturbing the foliage the lodge was built around the trees, honouring the landscape which inspired it. This is a small lodge with just eight suites and one two-bedroom villa, and creates an intimate experience where guests can feel close to nature. Tongtshang, or Pine Forest, the hotel’s restaurant, uses local ingredients to craft delicious meals, and offers both indoor and outdoor dining. The Six Senses Spa is the perfect place to unwind after a day spent walking or sightseeing, with a hot-stone bath or full-body massage, or you can settle down in the cosy library with a book.
