The Chandelao Garh is a world away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Jodhpur and a great way to experience life in rural Rajasthan. The 23-room hotel is the ancestral home of the local ruling family and still has much of their period furniture and décor giving it lots of character. The rooms are simple, but all en suite, and there is a restaurant serving decent Rajasthani cuisine. The hotel has a large outdoor swimming pool and can also arrange activities and excursions in the local area. The Chandelao Garh is committed to sustainability and its owners do a lot of good for the surrounding community providing education and a sustainable source of income for the women in Chandelao village through their Sunder Rang arts and craft project.
