The Loft is a smart, chic, addition to the downtown Yangon hotel scene. The hotel is extremely central – Scott’s market, the central railway station, and the Shwedagon Pagoda are all within a short stroll – but is located on a quieter side street. This street, formerly known as York Road and currently as Yaw Mygingi Street, holds a colourful daily flower market and has hosts a number of small shops and local restaurants. Rooms are comfortable, contemporary, and have been designed with some flair. The duplex rooms at the very top are of particular interest; each has a small roof terrace with city views.  There are no pool, spa, or gym facilities, but there is a spacious downstairs restaurant/bar area which has outside cafe-style seating - a distinctly European experience in a very Asian environment.
