Ceylon Wild Safaris is a small camp in a fantastic isolated spot right on the edge of the Yala National Park and within easy striking distance of the pilgrimage town of Kataragama with its famous temple. It has a small cluster of very comfortable, air-conditioned, permanent tents, each with their own plunge pool and en-suite outdoor bathrooms. The friendly staff have a wealth of knowledge about the wildlife in Yala and the safari guiding here is among the very best anywhere in Sri Lanka. All meals and drinks are included in your stay and served on a long communal table in the centre of the camp. And keen photographers can also make use of the ‘creative hub’ which has a state-of-the-art photograph printer.
