Around three hours by car from Hanoi, Mai Chau is a refreshing mix of pure air, untouched nature and fascinating tribal culture. The Mai Chau Ecolodge is located right at the heart of Mai Chau Valley within walking distance of Lac and Pom Coong villages. The ecolodge was built entirely from natural materials with thatched roofs, bamboo interiors, wooden furniture and outdoor jungle showers. Each of the 21 bungalows was meticulously designed to embody the local stilt house style and traditional Thai ethnic culture. There is wireless internet access in rooms and public areas, but no TVs, in keeping with the lodge's back-to-nature style. Other hotel facilities include a large swimming pool with space for children, a two-storey restaurant & bar with panoramic views, a cozy massage centre and a number of bicycles which are free to use.
