Udo Island
Udo is a picturesque little island located 2.2 miles off the eastern coast of Jeju Island with regular ferries from Seongsan-ri linking the two. Udo in Hanja, Korea’s traditional writing system (pre-Hangul 1443), literally means "Cow Island". The island earned this name as locals believe its shape resembles a cow at rest. Udo’s scenery makes it a popular setting for Korean films and dramas and the island is best explored by bike or renting a taxi.
