The Robot Restaurant

If you are looking to experience the wonderfully weird side of Japan, then a visit to Shinjuku’s Robot Restaurant is something you can’t miss out on. Although it is a restaurant, the food is not great so we recommend booking tickets just to the hour long ‘robot cabaret’, a kooky show with a cast of robots, glittery bikini-clad girls, dancing dinosaurs and other totally bizarre characters. The show contains lots of lazers and loud techno music so won’t be to everyone’s taste, but for those who want to be immersed in Japan’s 21st Century culture, it will be a memorable experience.
