Misfah (full name Misfat Al Abryeen) is one of the prettiest villages in the Al Hajar Mountains. It is known for its small, terraced gardens which are irrigated using the same ‘falaj’ system that has been place for hundreds of years.  Today, Misfah has become a popular spot for visitors to overnight and get a taste of traditional Oman.  If you’re staying in Misfah, we highly recommend leaving time to scramble up the rocky hillside just outside the village to see the ruined ancient watchtower, said to be over 1000 years old.
