Opened in 1974, The Pilgrims Lodge is a simple guesthouse for visitors to Taiwan's centre of Buddhist worship. The design is a blend of Chinese and Indian styles, and rooms have modern but basic facilities with private bathrooms. The monks and nuns serve simple vegetarian food for dinner. The lodge is conveniently located at the heart of the monastery, so a convenient base if guests wish to rise early for morning prayers.

Don't expect luxury, but staying here allows you to experience more about the buddhist way of life at this vast monastery and attend the morning prayers. Definitely an interesting thing to do!
