Self-drive Oman (10 days)
This great value tour has been carefully designed for the inquisitive traveller who enjoys driving and exploring a place on their own, without a guide. Whilst we only suggest self-drive for confident and experienced drivers, the roads in Oman are mostly in good condition and, once you’re out of Muscat, traffic is minimal. Armed with a map and a pre-paid device which allows you to be online throughout, it is also an easy country to find your way around. And of course you’ll always have the 24-hour support of our local team if required at any point. In just 10 days, this itinerary covers a lot of ground with time in the mountains around Nizwa and Jebel Akhdar, camping in the Wahiba Sands desert, seeing the sea turtles at Raz Al Jinz and swimming in a refreshing wadi, all bookended with nights in the laid back capital, Muscat. If you can allow a few more days, we recommend extending the trip to relax on the beach at the end in one of the marvellous beach hotels around the capital.
