The Hill Tribes of Vietnam (17 days)

Discover the natural beauty and the lifestyles of the hill tribes of northern Vietnam. The tour starts in Hanoi before journeying north to the stunning Ba Be National Park. Next will be a drive through breath-taking scenery to mountainous Ha Giang province before travelling along the Chinese border towards Sapa. The terraced rice fields and large number of different hill tribes make this an excellent area for hiking. You have a total of five days in this mountainous region to explore the local villages with your guide on hand to suggest hiking routes to match your level of experience. Head back to Hanoi by overnight train to be transferred to Ky Son to spend two nights at the Moon Garden Homestay, which offers a glimpse of traditional rural Vietnamese life. Finish in the Pu Luong Valley with three days to spend exploring the stunning natural scenery or simply relaxing at the hotel’s infinity pool. This tour includes some spectacular road journeys through some of the remotest parts of Vietnam where the best available accommodation is simple.
