Thailand Explorer for Families (18 days)
This thrilling tour of the ‘Land of Smiles’ takes you on an immersive and adventurous overland journey to explore central and southern Thailand, avoiding any internal flights. The route has been carefully planned for families in mind to include heaps of outdoor and wildlife activities in National Parks, visit a few culutral sights and have plenty of time to relax by the pool and on the beach. Your adventures start with two days to acclimatise in the heart of the Thai capital, with a longtail boat ride through the canals to Wat Pho temple. After the buzz of the city, it’s time to drive a couple of hours to the historic town of Kanchanaburi and jungle-clad countryside of the River Kwai area. Then head further south to the coast at Hua Hin for some time on the beach, with a day trip to the Kui Buri National Park for a wild elephant safari in an open top jeep. Next is a daytime train journey hugging the coast down the spine of Thailand to Surat Thani to spend three nights at the Aava Resort in Khanom, one of Thailand's most tranquil beaches from where you embark on a boat trip to see the region's famous pink dolphins. After some days relaxing in Khanom hop on a local ferry for the one and a half hour ferry ride to Koh Samui and finish in style with four nights of Thai island life.
