Jungle walk in Satpura National Park

What makes Satpura National Park truly unique is the variety of options it offers guests to experience the flora and fauna - it is the only park in central India which allows people to explore tiger country on foot. In fact most lodges in the National Park are working towards offering non-motorized methods of wildlife viewing. While heading out on foot does not allow you to cover as much ground as a jeep safari, the walk does give you the opportunity of a close encounter with a sloth bear, leopard or even a tiger. You will set off deep into the jungle as part of a small group accompanied by a naturalist and forest guides with the intention of tracking the resident animals. Most lodges can also arrange overnight camping excursions in the forest for those looking to maximise their wildlife viewing experience.
