Walking tour of Khao Yai National Park

Depart from your resort after breakfast, meet up your naturalist guide and then head into the national park on a day's nature walk that will take you through the lush evergreen forest that dominates the central regions of Khao Yai National Park. Porters are on hand to carry food and other essentials, and a cook will prepare a traditional Thai lunch for you in the forest. Having freshened up after your walk, you will visit mineral licks which are often visited by large mammals. You will also visit the famous Haew Suwat Waterfall and follow a crocodile trail. Late afternoon drive to Khao Kheaw View Point to watch some bird species settling down for the night. As the evening draws in you will arrive at the park headquarters where you will set out on a 'night safari' in the hope of seeing some of the park's larger wildlife which could include elephant, deer, porcupine, civet cats and wild dogs. After the 'safari' you will leave the park around 8pm and return to your hotel.
