Visit an active mud volcano

Tabin Wildlife Reserve is home to the impressive Lipad Mud Volcano, which spews out fresh mud on a daily basis. This is well worth the 20 minute walk through the jungle it takes to get there as it is a very good place to see wildlife, attracted to this natural salt lick from the surrounding forest. In recent years, it has proven a particularly popular spot to come across pygmy elephants. There is an observation tower next to the volcano which is highly recommended for bird-watching.
