Explore the 4000 Islands by Mountain Bike

Taking up an enviable stretch of the Mekong in southern Laos, the 4000 Islands have long been a favourite spot for travellers to spend a few days relaxing in a riverside hammock. Most visitors, however, never venture beyond the larger islands of Don Khong, Don Khone and Don Det and many of the smaller islands remain very untouched, inhabited by just a small group of local fishermen and their families. 

We have developed an exclusive programme that takes you on a private mountain bike tour around some of the most beautiful of these smaller islands such as Don Phou Man, Don Saang Fai and Don Loppadi. Travelling from your comfortable base on one of the larger islands, this full day tour takes you along dirt roads and on small local ferries through genuine local villages and past sleepy local temples. The tour also includes a home cooked meal with a friendly local family.
