Hike to Ramkot

Pretty Bandipur has a number of scenic walks of varying lengths which can be undertaken from the town. One of the most popular half day hikes takes you to Ramkot, a Magar caste village located around to the west of Bandipur. The village showcases the traditional roundhouses and authentic village lifestyle of rural Nepal, and is home to one of the regions's last thatched-roof roundhouses. The terrain is fairly gentle but there are a few inclines to tackle, and at a decent pace will take around 2-3 hours each way. The scenery along the walk is very rewarding, so there are plenty of opportunities to rest and take pictures as you go!
