Eat Bibimbap in Jeonju

Jeonju is heralded throughout Korea as a hub of tradition and culture, particularly when it comes to Korean cuisine. There are several dishes worth trying in Jeonju, but principal among them would be Korea's national dish 'bibimbap'. Bibimbap - loosely translated as 'mixed rice' - is a bowl of steamed rice topped with a wide variety of fresh vegetables, topped with an egg and a good dollop of fiery gochujang red pepper sauce. Although bibimbap is found across the country, Koreans will travel from across the peninsula to sample it in Jeonju, thought of as the dish's spiritual home.
