Malé City Tour

If your resort is within reach of a speedboat ride from the capital, then we recommend taking a guided tour of Malé City for a different view of the Maldives. As one of the most densely populated cities in the world, Malé is a hive of activity and there’s plenty to see.

Key sights include the peaceful Sultan Park, which is home to the National Museum; the Mulee’aage Palace, built in the 18th century and the official residence of the president; and the beautiful 17th Century Mosque, constructed partly from coral.  During your visit, make sure not to miss the bustling local markets, which are packed with local produce and offer great opportunities for photographers. The lively Malé Fish Market is a particular highlight.
