Tai Chi is an ancient martial art practised across China. It’s a gentle yet intense workout said to promote general health and spiritual well-being.

If you are interested in trying for yourself then private classes for beginners can be arranged in several places across China. In Beijing classes take place at the tranquil Temple of Heaven Park. This is a favourite place for locals to gather, socialise and exercise, so you certainly won't be alone here! In Yangshuo, we can arrange private sessions in the town or, for a really special location, out in the scenic countryside as well. If you want a more immersive experience, then there are a number of established Tai Chi schools in and around Yangshuo, which can offer longer and more in-depth courses, allowing you to get a deeper understanding of this ancient and beautiful martial art.
