Explore Khiva's Walled City by night

The Ichon-Qala, Khiva’s medieval walled city, is so well preserved it is known as a living museum, and a visit here really does feel like you have stepped back in time. It is particularly atmospheric after the sun goes down, as the walls and monuments within are all lit up for the night, and the locals come out to walk and socialise in the cooler evening air.
